Have you viewed the new PokerPro hold’em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about two weeks ago when I took a quick holiday with my parents to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.
As I anxiously waited for my name to be called at the live tables, I noticed how the other people around the PokerPro tables interacted with one another. It was fairly interesting to say the very least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there had been no clay poker chips to do any chip hints, no cards to shuffle and the real live experience was stagnant. Maybe I was the only one that recognized this, but I did observe the gamblers on the table had a dull high quality to them. The cause of this may be because there was no human conversation with the croupier, the atmosphere was rather boring and the players looked bored stiff. It was nearly as if I was viewing a live variation of an internet texas hold em poker room instead of sitting with hot blooded humans. It was a little bit spooky and I continued to have flash backs to a show of ST:TNG and the holodeck malfunctioned.
Since the waiting time for the stay tables for more than an hour, I made a decision to observe how the casino game play was and to understanding this new hold’em poker gaming technology. After wagering a few hands, I genuinely felt like I was wagering at home. The lack of activity in the table was the main reason. I like to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are possible at these computer tables.
An additional thing I observed was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a great deal of hands in the PokerPro table and noticed that the wager on was a lot like an online hold em poker website. That might have been just a coincidence, except I found it to become very odd.
Following betting a couple of rounds with this "unique hold em poker technology", I determined that the PokerPro tables had been not for me. I’m far better off betting texas hold em poker on the net at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Betting house were to obtain rid of the are living poker tables, I think they’d loose a lot of gamblers.
