Poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier saying "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players attain 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is akin to your original ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantly to the house. After the wager is the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with an amount on par with the initial wager. If the house does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pony’s up money even with your bet and set expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

• Even for a pair or high card
• 2-1 for two pairs
• 3-1 for three of a kind
• four to one for a straight
• five to one for a flush
• 7-1 for a full house
• twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
• 50-1 for a straight flush
• 100-1 for a royal flush
