Internet poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer announcing "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the other gamblers attain 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet is the showdown. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus a sum on par with the original bet. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The casino pays out chips equal to your ante and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
