Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the western in a great game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers compete against other players. By gambling against the dealer, starting players do not have to be concerned about any other, more experienced people taking their cash.
A further Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game pace, novices are able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make quick selections.
It is also simpler to enjoy for a long time with only a tiny amount of cash after all, to not win, both of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is given 7 cards face up and the croupier is given 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
