Online poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many types on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s value is akin to your beginning ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your bet goes directly to the casino. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus a figure equal to the initial bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out money even with your ante and fixed odds on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
