Web poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer broadcasting "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers receive 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s first card, you have to either make a call wager or accede. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your wager goes directly to the dealer. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including a sum equal to the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The casino pays out cash equal to your initial bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
